Dear Lord and Father bless and keep us all through this coming year.  Amen.January is the month when we look, really look at our life's journey and rejoice over the gift of another year given to us. The perception of life that enables us to walk into a new year with this hope and confidence is the perception that we can begin anew, that we are constantly being offered fresh beginnings by our God.                                                       J. 1st    Adventurous God, you have been with me in all the journeys of my life and you still walk beside me whether I am aware of your presence or not. Help me to step joyfully into this New Year and to walk gladly in the way you have chosen for me.
                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Amen.

4th    Lord give me the grace to follow your example.

6th   We remember all those we know who are sick in body, mind and soul. Grant them your peaceful touch Lord.

7th   We pray today for carers, home helps, nurses, doctors and residential care workers. 11th  We should give as we would receive; cheerfully, quickly and without hesitation: for there is no grace in a benefit that sticks to the fingers.                                                                                                                              Seneca

19th  We give thanks for the music and poetry of the psalms and the hymns we sing and all the memories they awaken.

20th  We remember today all who work to keep Moncreiff Church looking beautiful with banners and flowers.

21st    The quieter you become, the more you can hear.

22nd  Be with all who are sad and lonely today, especially those who are housebound. In their loneliness may they be surprised by your joy.
