Prayer Diary - January 2012
Dear Lord and Father bless and keep us all through this coming year. Amen.January is the month when we look, really look at our life's journey and rejoice over the gift of another year given to us. The perception of life that enables us to walk into a new year with this hope and confidence is the perception that we can begin anew, that we are constantly being offered fresh beginnings by our God. J. Rupp
1st Adventurous God, you have been with me in all the journeys of my life and you still walk beside me whether I am aware of your presence or not. Help me to step joyfully into this New Year and to walk gladly in the way you have chosen for me.
Amen.
2nd We give thanks for the gifts of food, warmth and company, for your love and protection freely given.
3rd Holy Spirit dwell in me that I may become a prayer.
4th Lord give me the grace to follow your example.
5th We thank you for our church, we give thanks for the fellowship we enjoy within it and for the guidance for life and living which we receive there.
6th We remember all those we know who are sick in body, mind and soul. Grant them your peaceful touch Lord.
7th We pray today for carers, home helps, nurses, doctors and residential care workers. Those who are called to care for loved ones or friends. Grant them energy and vitality, fresh love and patience for their difficult task.
8th Lord today help us to still our hearts and listen to who you are. Amen.
9th We pray for the youth of Moncreiff and give thanks for their energy and vitality.
10th Help us today not just to be religious people but "Christians".
