The Guild
The Guild in Moncreiff meets every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in the New Small Hall. Our group numbers around 55 ladies, but men are also welcome although none have so far joined us. Our Guild has been meeting for over 60 years.
Our theme this year is “Called to walk humbly with God” and we are supporting one of the Guild's 6 projects – A Place for Hope. It is hoped to establish an ecumenical Centre for Reconciliation and Peace-making in Scotland.
Our new session starts on Tuesday 4th October when Rev Neil Buchanan is our speaker. Our Committee have worked over the Summer to produce a varied syllabus, hopefully with something to interest everyone with speakers, outings, entertainment and parties.
We are a very friendly group and welcome new members so please come along on a Tuesday evening. One of our newest members was heard saying “I wish that I had joined sooner”. We look forward to welcoming you.
Aim: The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
Our Motto taken from Acts 27,v23 “Whose we are and Whom we serve”.
