DEMENTIA CARERS GROUP – EAST KILBRIDE FUND RAISING CONCERT 16 SEPTEMBER VILLAGE THEATRE EAST KILBRIDE.
For the information of Moncreiff Congregation the Coffee Morning Ladies have welcomed the Dementia Carers Group on a regular basis to the Moncreiff Coffee Mornings over a period of many years. Because of difficulty with Local Authority Funding the Dementia Group hosted a fund raising Concert at the Village Theatre on Friday 16 September and it was a delight to see such a large turnout from Moncreiff to support this venture.
The show was headlined by Gordon Cree who is well known to Moncreiff and featured Alistair McDonald, Cheryl Forbes, Simone Welsh, The Aileen Robertson Dancers and the Alan Kitchen Trio.
An old fashioned Variety Show that had the audience on its feet at the end and an excellent evening’s entertainment came to a close.
Our Church is blessed with a lot of good people who regularly support many causes within and outwith our Church and reflects on the thrust of Rev Neil Buchanan to direct our mission to supporting our Church by taking notice of the people living in our Parish and wider Community.
I do not speak for the Dementia Carers Group but I was thrilled by the large support from Moncreiff Parish Church who attended the Concert to support this Fund Raising Initiative and it was also good to see that same support from many Churches and denominations within the Town.
